River Bluff Doesn't Work for Kuo

Nível 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

Kitty Kuo and her lone opponent were heads up on the turn of a board showing {7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts} when we arrived at the table. Kuo check called a bet of 1,525, and the {J-Spades} on the river completed the flop flush draw. Kuo fired out 3,700, and her opponent immediately let out a big sigh. Despite his apparent disappointment, he called, and Kuo could only muster up {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} for ace high. Her opponent rolled over {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for trip sixes, and he took down the pot.

Little Pot For Bruno Fitoussi

Nível 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

Bruno Fitoussi opened from the cut-off and got calls from the button and the player in the big blind. Fitoussi is on an active and aggressive table as has lost a few early pots.

The flop was {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and it was checked to Fitoussi who bet 300. That didn’t shake anyone off and with two callers the dealer put out the {6-Spades} turn card.

The river was the {a-Hearts} and with action on Fitoussi he made a persuasive bet of 600 and got two folds and a small pot.

Mohsin Charania Slips to Trips

Nível 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

With a pot of about 3,000 already brewing and the completed board reading {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, Mohsin Charania was in late position and facing a decision for 1,200 against a single opponent. After a few moments of thought, Charania called, his opponent quickly flipped over {6-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} for rivered trip fives, and Charania mucked.

Quick Start for Zynda

Jordan Zynda
Jordan Zynda

Jordan Zynda, who finished 875th for $15,000 in this event last year, used the MyStack app to tell the world he had already doubled up. We walked by to get the details of the hand, as someone with a 100,000 stack after in Level 1 is always worth a visit.

Zynda told us that he opened {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} to 400 under the gun plus one on his still 5-handed table. Three players called, and they took a flop of {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. The small blind decided to lead out and Zynda was the only caller, the other two players folded.

As the {6-Spades} hit the turn, the small blind checked. Zynda bet 1,100 and saw his opponent check-raise to 3,500. Zynda just called and saw the {8-Hearts} complete the board. The small blind bet 5,000. Zynda raised to 17,500 and saw his opponent move all in. Zynda called with his quads and his opponent tabled {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the flopped flush.

Zynda is up to double starting stack.

Affleck Gets Aggro

Matt Affleck earlier this summer

A player in middle position opened with a raise to 350, the button called, and Matt Affleck three-bet to 2,000 from the small blind. The original raiser folded but the button called.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Affleck continued for 2,000. The button quickly folded and Affleck took the chips.

Yesterday, we interviewed Affleck about the hand he played against Jonathan Duhamel in the 2010 World Series of Poker Main Event. Read all about it, right here.
