Shack-Harris Shaken by Williams

Nível 10 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

The recent rise of Brandon Shack-Harris has just taken a big setback after David Williams scored a big double through the two-time WSOP champion. With 44,000 in the middle on the {J-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{K-Spades} turn, Williams was the player at risk for 148,000 and Shack-Harris looked him up.

David Williams: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Spades} for top set
Brandon Shack-Harris: {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for top two pair

Williams vaulted up from his chair, which fell back right when the {8-Diamonds} appeared on the river to make his double up official. Shack-Harris was left with fewer than 20 big blinds and has plenty of work ahead.

Er Doubles Through Jachtmann

Nível 9 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

On a four-way limped flop of {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades}, the action checked around to Zorlu Er and he bet the pot for 8,000. Jan-Peter Jachtmann from one seat over in the cutoff made it 30,000 to go and Anthony Zinno as well as Michael Huntress both folded. Er moved all in for 59,200 and Jachtmann called.

Zorlu Er: {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Jan-Peter Jachtmann: {Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Jachtmann blocked two spades, but the {10-Spades} turn gave Er the nut flush. He was not guaranteed to win just yet, though, but the {Q-Clubs} river made things official.

A Silver Special with Shak Side Action

Nível 9 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

On the three-way flop of {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}, the action escalated between Max Silver in the hijack, Dan Shak on the button and Dominique Mosley in the big blind. The stacks went into the middle of the table with Silver as shortest stack, while Mosley had Shak covered by a few big blinds only.

Max Silver: {J-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Dan Shak: {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Dominique Mosley: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The {10-Hearts} turn gave Silver a full house and the {K-Clubs} river was a blank to ensure his triple up, while Shak's straight draw and inferior pocket pair failed to get there. As a result, Shak was sent to the rail and Mosley was left with just shy of the starting stack.

Stein Shoves the River

Nível 9 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Sam Stein bet pot on a {7-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} board and got called by just one of his opponents. After paying the bet of 37,000, the dealer fanned the {5-Spades} on the river and Stein moved all-in for about 75,000.

His opponent didn't take long to toss his cards into the muck and Stein was pushed the pot.

Cheong Busts Mizrachi

Nível 9 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

With the flop reading {10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Juha Helppi in late position checked. Robert Mizrachi checked as well from one seat over in the hijack and Lee Hon Cheong in the cutoff bet the pot for 72,000. Helppi gave it some thought and eventually folded, while Mizrachi reluctantly called all in for his last 52,000.

Robert Mizrachi: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}
Lee Hon Cheong: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}

The {5-Diamonds} on the turn changed nothing much, and Cheong even improved to a set of aces thanks to the {A-Clubs} on the river. Mizrachi quickly grabbed his belongings and headed out of the tournament area.

Romanello Rivers Saliba

Vivian Saliba
Vivian Saliba

In the last hand before the break, a three-way pot to the {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{9-Spades} turn saw Vivian Saliba all in and at risk with a short stack. Both Roberto Romanello and a third player called and checked the {K-Spades} river.

Saliba showed {A-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a set of fives while Romanello's {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for two pair on the turn improved to a straight. The third player briefly showed his cards, but Romanello ended up as the winner. According to the Welshman, he had previously bluffed away a big portion of his stack before he took most of Saliba's stack prior to the all in showdown.
