Telker Eliminated by Rocco

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Michael Telker
Michael Telker

Michael Telker was all in before the flop and got action from Michael Rocco. Telker, the start-of-day chip leader, committed his remaining 120,000 chips with {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, at risk against Rocco's {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

The flop came {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, and Rocco extended his lead into a commanding one. The turn was the {q-Spades}, and Telker picked up a straight draw. The river was the {q-Hearts}, and Telker was eliminated.

Dramatic Runout as Feder Loses a Chunk To Sun

Nível 18 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Brett Feder raised from the button and then called a shove from Yunsheng Sun in the big blind.

Yunsheng Sun: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Brett Feder: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}

The flop was {j-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}, giving Feder top pair and Sun a flush draw and an up-and-down straight draw.

The turn card was the {7-Clubs}, giving Sun a flush and a straight-flush draw, but Feder picked up ace-high flush outs.

The river was the decidedly undramatic {2-Spades}, and as the dust settled, so did a large part of Feder’s stack into Sun’s.

“Does Your Face Hurt?”

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

John Green opened to 10,500 from the small blind, and Mark Khaitman moved all in from the big blind.

“I need a count,” Green said. It was 58,000, while he had 190,000 behind.

Green went deep into the tank and then apologized to the table for taking so long. He was told to take as long as he needed, but not by Khaitman, who sat still as a rock without moving a muscle.

“I give you all those walks, and this is how you treat me?” Green wanted to know of Khaitman before adding, “Does your face hurt?”

That got a laugh from Khaitman and a few others, and Green mucked his cards and got shown the {a-Diamonds} by Khaitman.

Michael Rocco Wins Huge Three-Way All In

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Michael Rocco
Michael Rocco

Michael Telker opened for 12,000 and got a call from Michael Rocco on the button. Ian Waldron three-bet from the small blind to 29,000, and both Telker and Rocco called.

The flop was {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}. Waldron bet 50,000, Telker went all in, and Rocco called with a smaller stack. Waldron looked taken aback by this turn of events. He counted down his stack, and he had just a smidgen over 70,000 left. He sighed, put his chips in, and immediately regretted it when he saw what he feared.

Michael Rocco: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Michael Telker: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Ian Waldron: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The turn was the {j-Hearts} and the river the {6-Diamonds}.

“I knew I should have folded.” a rueful Waldron said, as he left and his remaining chips were pushed to Rocco. From the start-of-day chip lead, Telker was knocked down to not very much.

Iarussi Wins a Flip Against Truong

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Joseph Iarussi found himself quite short coming back from the dinner break and got his last 20,500 chips into the middle from the big blind. Patrick Truong was in the cutoff and called.

Iarussi was at risk with {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}, flipping against Truong's {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. The flop came {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades}, and Iarussi quickly pulled ahead with a pair of queens. The turn was the {4-Spades}, and the river was the {6-Hearts}, giving Iarussi the double he was seeking.

From One Mark to Another

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Mark Edwards was in the small blind and managed to get his remaining stack into the middle, getting action from Mark Khaitman on the button.

Edwards was at risk for 62,500 with {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}, well behind Khaitman's {a-Spades}{j-Spades}.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, and Edwards still needed a king or running cards to improve. The turn was the {2-Diamonds} to give him a flush draw. The {k-Spades} hit the river, and Edwards managed to survive.
