Perry Finds a Way to Survive

Johannes Becker raised in the cutoff, and Ralph Perry reraised in the small blind. Anthony Zinno called in the big, and Becker raised again. Perry had 63,000 total and put the rest in, and Zinno called as well.

On the {5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, Zinno check-raised and Becker called. Becker called again on the {k-Hearts} turn, and both checked the {3-Diamonds} river. Zinno showed {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and Becker mucked {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} face up. Perry hit two pair with {k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and raked in the main pot.

Arieh Takes a Big One on the Flop

Michael Mizrachi opened with a raise to 25,000. Next to act was Josh Arieh and he just called. Matthew Ashton then opted to put in a reraise to pot, making it 115,000 to play. Both Mizrachi and Arieh called.

The flop came down {3-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Mizrachi checked to Arieh. Arieh put out a big bet of 275,000. Ashton thought for a couple of minutes, then folded his hand. Mizrachi quickly followed suit after checking his hand a couple of times. That allowed Arieh to take down the big pot without a showdown.

Andrey Zaichenko Eliminated by Aaron Katz

A short-stacked Andrey Zaichenko raised from under the gun, Aaron Katz called from the small blind, and Daniel Negreanu called from the big blind.

The flop came down {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Katz led out. Negreanu called and Zaichenko called all in for his remaining few thousand.

The turn was the {10-Spades}, Katz bet, and Negreanu folded.

Katz tabled {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Spades} for the nut straight, and Zaichenko said he had no outs and mucked his cards.

Mizrachi Barrels and Shows Two; Hui Busts

Michael Mizrachi bet 30,000 from the button on a {j-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop, and Matthew Ashton called in the big blind. On the {9-Spades} turn, Ashton check-called 100,000. The river was a {q-Clubs}. Ashton checked a final time.

"How much is in the middle?" Mizrachi asked.

Informed it was 315,000, he bet 200,000. Ashton tanked for about 90 seconds and mucked. Mizrachi showed {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

At another table, Phil Hui lost the rest of his short stack

Bach and Seiver Tangle

David Bach opened from early position and Scott Seiver called from the blinds.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Seiver checked to Bach who bet, Seiver raised, and Bach called.

On the {8-Diamonds} turn, Seiver checked to Bach who bet again, and Seiver called. Both players then checked on the {K-Diamonds} river. Seiver showed {J-Hearts}{8-Spades} but it was no good against Bach's {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a better pair.

Benson Over Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu raised from the cutoff, Gary Benson three-bet from the small blind, and Negreanu called.

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Benson bet. Negreanu called to see the {8-Hearts} turn and Benson bet again. The {J-Diamonds} river completed the board, Benson bet, and Negreanu called.

Benson tabled {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for aces full of eights, Negreanu mucked, and Benson won the pot.

Galfond Makes a Tough Laydown

Joey Couden bet from the big blind after the first draw, and Phil Galfond called from under the gun. Couden was pat, and Galfond took a card. Couden bet again and Galfond called. Couden checked on the end after Galfond took a final card. The online legend put in a bet. Couden popped in a raise and Galfond leaned back in his seat and smiled.

Galfond thought for over a minute, apologizing to the table as he did so. Ultimately, he decided to lay his hand down.

Alexander Kostritsyn went bust at another table.

Hui stood pat while Matusow took two. Hui then bet and Matusow called.

On the second draw, Hui stood pat while Matusow took one. Hui bet once more and Matusow called again.

On the last draw, both players stood pat, then Hui check-folded to a bet from Matusow.

"Eighty-six, Felipé," Matusow said after the hand. Hui just nodded and Matusow took down the pot.
