and Nikolaev held on to knock out a very tough pro in Shorr who had a tumultuous last 45 minutes, peaking at over 650,000 and then hitting some bad spots to be out shortly afterward.

The technical problem that caused an unexpected break seems to have been resolved and play has continued in the second level of Day 2. There are still 28 minutes left on the clock.

Dan Chio was in early position and had moved all in for 79,000. Another player on the button verbalised a raise and then put in 22,000. The dealer then stopped the action and notified the button that there was an all-in. Due to verbally stating raise, he was required to min-raise the amount of the all-in. The player accepted his mistake and that he hadn't noticed the all-in and put in enough to min-raise. The players left to act behind the button both folded.
The button then said to Chio, "I think you just got a gift, I have six-high."
