Alex Ziskin Eliminated by Michael Pearson

Nível 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Michael Pearson opened to 1,200 under the gun, and bracelet winner Alex Ziskin went all in for 3,800 on the button. The blinds folded, and Pearson called to put Ziskin at risk.

Pearson: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Ziskin: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Pearson's eights were well ahead, and the flop was {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, giving Pearson an open-ended straight draw to go with his pair. The {9-Hearts} turn gave Pearson the straight, and the {7-Diamonds} river was insignificant. Ziskin hit the rail, and Pearson stacked the chips.

Ryan Laplante Loses Some

Nível 7 : 250/500, 75 ante

Ryan Laplante was up to 50,000 at the dinner break but just doubled up an opponent. He raised to 1,000 from early position, and his opponent in the big blind went all in for 6,750. Laplante tossed in calling chips, and they showed down.

Laplante was in good shape with {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} against his opponent's {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}, but the board ran out {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} {J-Clubs} {Q-Clubs}. His opponent flopped a flush draw and rivered a better two pair with kings and queens to double through.

Bracelet winner Laplante is still one of the bigger stacks in the room with 45,000.

Steve Karp Triples Up, John Templeton Wins Side Pot

Nível 5 : 150/300, 50 ante

Steve Karp went all in for his last 1,525 from the cutoff, and John Templeton called on the button. The small blind raised to 5,000, and Templeton went all in. His opponent called and had him covered by a small margin.

Karp: {J-Spades}{5-Spades}
Templeton: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Small blind: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} {10-Clubs} {J-Hearts}, and Karp tripled up with two pair, jacks and fives. Templeton won a sizeable side pot with ace-king high, and the third player was left with under 2,000 chips.
