Akenhead Coolers Roberts

Nível 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

There was already about 20,000 in the pot with all five community cards face up. We don't know on which street went all the remaining money in, but the result was clear.

James Akenhead doubled through Lauren Roberts, holding {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} against {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}. The queen-high board brought no harm to Akenhead's bullets, and he had 8,775 behind. Roberts paid off the rest, giving Akenhead a big boost.

Bicknell's Hand Declared Dead

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

With the action on the last street, big blind Kristen Bicknell faced roughly a pot-sized bet of 5,500 from a player in the lojack on the board reading {2-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

Bicknell went into the tank. She looked into her opponent's face, and he hid it in his hands. Bicknell smiled.

"Sorry everybody," she apologized to the table for taking her time.

Then somebody called the clock.

Bicknell received 30 seconds plus a vocal 10-second countdown, but she couldn't come up with her decision anyway. The hand was killed.

"You would show a bluff, right?" Romain Lewis asked the winner of the pot.

"Maybe," he replied, smiling.

Wiener Staying Hot, Germans Arriving in Force

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Mel Wiener said he got boat over boat again on an opponent, this time making aces full against queens full to score another elimination.

Two Large Early Pots to Wiener

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

On a completed board of {8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, Mel Wiener was in the big blind facing a bet of 4,200 from an opponent under the gun. Wiener put in nearly all of his chips, 21,200. His opponent called with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for eights full, but Wiener had {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for nines full of eights to take all but his opponent's last three T75 chips.

A bit after that, Wiener bet 3,200 into a pot of about 1,600 on the river. The board read {6-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, and Nacho Barbero was thinking things over. He asked if Wiener would show if he folded, but eventually Barbero called. Wiener turned over {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a flush and took the pot.

Czuczor On the Better Side of a Setup

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Marton Czuczor was in the hijack, facing off with a player in the big blind.

They were on the river of the {3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} board, and big blind checked. Czuczor slid in 4,800, earning a quick call.

Czuczor turned over his {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for runner-runner trips. Big blind moved his hand toward the dealer, signalling he was beat. He flipped over the {Q-Clubs} in the process, proving he had a big hand but also kicker trouble.

Barny Boatman Hits a Set

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

The flop was {2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and the player in the big blind check-called a 700 bet from Barny Boatman in the cutoff.

The turn brought them the {10-Hearts}. Boatman's opponent checked, he bet 2,100, and the player in the big blind called again.

The {9-Diamonds} on the river completed the board, and the action went check-call again, with Boatman's bet 3,000 this time. Boatman then turned over {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} for a set of threes and his opponent mucked.

Sotiropoulos Picks Off Lee for All the Money

Nível 3 : 75/150, 25 ante

Cutoff Georgios Sotiropoulos opened to 400 and small blind Ho Yin Lee three-bet to 1,600. Sotiropoulos scanned Lee's stack, and called.

Lee continued with a bet of 1,500 on the {2-Clubs}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs} flop, and Sotiropoulos stuck around. The turn was the {A-Spades} and Lee threw in another 3,300. Sotiropoulos kept hanging around, calling once more.

Lee wasn't done barreling just yet, firing his remaining 14,625 on the {9-Spades} river.

"How much?" Sotiropoulos asked, and called within a minute. Lee tabled his {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, knowing his tournament was over before 2 p.m.

Sotiropoulos showed {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for turned two pair, raking in the giant pot.
