Alexander Elias Rivers Quads to Eliminate Sara Hall

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Mathieu Selides raised to 11,000 from early position. Alexander Elias called in the big blind, as did Sara Hall in the big blind.

The three players checked the {j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop, and the turn brought the {7-Spades}. Elias bet 21,000, and Hall raised to 51,000. Selides got out of the way, and Elias moved all in. Hall called.

Elias: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Hall: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Hall had turned a jack-high straight, and Elias had flopped a set of jacks. The river was the {j-Hearts}, giving Elias quads and eliminating Hall.

Andrii Novak Three-Bets Kelly Minkin Twice in a Row

Nível 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Kelly Minkin raised to 11,000 from the hijack, and Andrii Novak three-bet to 35,500. Minkin folded.

The next hand, Minkin raised again — this time to 12,000. Novak three-bet again to 33,500. Again, Minkin folded.

"You must have a big hand to do that twice in a row," said tablemate Jeremy Wien.

"Yeah, it's not like you're doing that with sevens!" said Minkin.

"Maybe I will do it a third time!" said Novak. "Then I will have an even bigger hand!"

On the very next hand, Minkin folded. Novak folded, as well, albeit with a massive grin on his face.
