Engel Picks Off Herm

Ari Engel defended his big blind from a min-raise by Mark Herm, who was on the button. The flop came and Engel checked. Herm checked it back, seeing a . Engel checked again, this time calling 28,000. On the river, Engel checked a final time.

"How much is in the pot?" Herm asked.

Informed it was 128,000, he slid in 113,000 in short order. Engel took a long time to think, about three minutes. He apologized to the other players and continued to think for about another 30 seconds, and then dropped calling chips in.
