Jared Bleznick Eliminated by Marco Johnson

Nível 7 : 400/800, 0 ante
Jared Bleznick (from a previous event)
Jared Bleznick (from a previous event)

Marco Johnson raised to 2,200 in the cutoff, and Jared Bleznick made it 6,100 on the button. Johnson potted it, and Bleznick moved all in for around 48,000. Johnson called and had Bleznick covered by a small margin.

Johnson: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Bleznick: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

They had similar hands, but the board ran out {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} {5-Spades} {2-Spades}. The river gave Johnson the wheel and the nut low to scoop the pot and send Bleznick to the rail.

Daniel Negreanu Scoops Ray Henson

Nível 7 : 400/800, 0 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu has added almost 40,000 chips to his stack after this hand with the current WSOP Player of the Year leader, Ray Henson.

Negreanu had played three hands in a row and was on the button when Henson raised to 2,000. Negreanu called.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, and Henson bet 2,500. Negreanu called. The turn was another king, the {k-Diamonds}, and Henson checked. Negreanu bet 4,000, and Henson called. The river was a third king, the {k-Spades}, and Henson checked again. Negreanu bet 8,000, and Henson called.

Negreanu showed {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for quad kings and won the hand.

Kate Hoang Takes Half in Three-Way Pot

Nível 6 : 300/600, 0 ante
Kate Hoang
Kate Hoang

In a three-way pot, the board read {K-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs} and the big blind bet 10,000, a little less than the pot. Kate Hoang called in early position, and the button called, too.

Hoang: {K-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Big blind: {A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Button: {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Hoang had the best high with the nut straight for half the pot, and her opponents both had the same low to take one-quarter each.

Gamble and Shack-Harris Split It

Nível 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

Six players saw a {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop in a limped pot, and all six checked. The turn brought the {7-Clubs}, and Nathan Gamble was the first player to break the betting silence. He made it 2,200, and Brandon Shack-Harris and Mike Ross both called.

The river was the {4-Clubs}, and Ross checked. Gamble bet 10,000, and Shack-Harris went all in for about 10,000 more. Ross seemed distraught and folded, and Gamble quickly called.

Gamble had {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the low, and Shack-Harris took the high with {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}.

Pereira Doubles Through Ahmed

Nível 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

On a {10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop, Christian Pereira bet from the small blind, only to see Owais Ahmed raise pot in the big. It was 7,000 more, and Pereira responded by sliding all of his chips in. Ahmed obliged with a call.

Ahmed: {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Pereira: {5-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

Ahmed had top two and was leading for the moment, but Pereira could put him in a world of hurt if anything between a deuce and a seven fell that didn't pair the board. The {a-Diamonds} hit to give Pereira the nut low and a freeroll, and he got there with the {5-Spades} river.

Mike Matusow Leads the Turn

Nível 6 : 300/600, 0 ante

A player in early position limped, Mike Matusow limped in late position, and the button made it 2,300. The blinds folded, and the two limpers called.

The flop came {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}, and the first two players checked. The button continued for 3,500, the next player folded, and Matusow called. On the {3-Clubs} turn, Matusow led out for 7,000, and his opponent mucked.
