John Monnette and Bryce Yockey just took pots at different tables when their opponents folded to bets on the turn and the river.
Michael Baxter was in the tank on the river. The board read and Baxter had 6,050 in front of him already in the pot. Monnette had 16,050 and Baxter seemed ready to call. At the last moment, with calling chips in hand, he flung his hand into the muck and folded.
Courtney Harrington was in a similar situation against Bryce Yockey. They were on the turn and Harrington folded to the Yockey bet and Yockey is now approaching 70,000.

John Monnette, who added WSOP bracelet number three to his resume this year, has added another half a starting stack so far in the early levels of today's event.
Monnette won the $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball tournament earlier this series to capture his third bracelet and seems poised to make another deep run after finishing 17th in the $10,000 Stud Hi-Lo Eight or Better Championship.
On this hand, Monnette fired twice and won the pot when Shawn Nguyen folded.

The turn was the and both players checked. The river was a brick and Monnette bet 6,500 and Makarov thought for several seconds and then called.
Monnette had for a three-five low and aces and sixes for the high. Makarov had a worse low and the same high with to take one-quarter of the pot.
Nathan Gamble opened for 600 and got a call from Tyler Groth before Scott Clements made it 2,000 to go. The small blind called, Gamble released, and Groth made it three to a flop. Everyone checked, bringing a . Groth bet 4,000 and Clements called. On the river, Groth fired again for 6,000. Clements didn't think long before tossing the dealer his cards.
