Day 2 of Event #35: $1,000 Super Seniors No-Limit Hold'em begins at 11 a.m. There are 258 players returning to the felt to battle it out for the victory and the first-place prize of $259,230. The prize pool combined for a total of $1,548,000, paying out exactly 258 spots as the bubble burst to end Day 1. Everyone returning is guaranteed to be in the money and earn a minimum cash prize of $1,502.

Johnny Landreth is leading the way with a staggering 227,200 chips. His nearest competition is nearly 80,000 chips behind and that is Alan Wheeler with 144,200. He is very closely followed by Jean-Luc Adam who bagged 135,100 to round out the top three.

Many other notables remain in the field including James Woods (73,600), Ken Aldridge (54,500), TJ Cloutier (52,700) and Tom McCormick (40,000). Defending Champion James Moore (20,500) is still in there, too, and 2015 Champion Jon Andlovec (42,600) is still fighting it out as well.

When play resumes, players will play 10-and-a-half 60-minute levels and get a 15-minute break every two levels. Dinner break will take place after today's sixth level, around 5:30 p.m., and will be one hour long. Play will resume with Level 11 where the blinds are 600/1,200 with a 200 ante.
