All Smiles & All Ins

Nível 12 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Now that the bubble has burst, the tension has broken and the remaining players are all smiles. The short stacks look as if a burden has been lifted and they are more than happy to get the chips in the middle and let the cards decide.

The calls of “Payout!” from the dealers are ringing out around Miranda with the next pay jump at 234 which will be worth a slight increase to $2,320.

Alexandru Masek Burst the Bubble

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Cards, Chips, WSOP.com
Cards, Chips, WSOP.com

During the first hand of hand-for-hand play, the bubble has burst.

There were two all-ins during the first hand.

On the first table:

The flop read {4-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and Michael York in the big blind was all in. Rafael Moreas on the button was in the hand too and had York covered.

York: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Moraes: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The turn came {2-Hearts} and the {8-Hearts} on the river completed the board. York doubled up.

On the second table:

On the table, we already had the {8-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{8-Spades} on the flop. Alexandru Masek in mid-position was in danger as he was all in. Frank Hanks on the button had him covered.

Hanks: {K-}{K-}
Masek: {A-}{A-}

Masek needed an ace to survive the bubble but the {Q-Spades}{3-Clubs} did not provide him with any help so he, unfortunately, became the bubble boy.

Tim West Rips It and Busts

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We were told that Michael Schmidt opened for 3,000 and Tim West “ripped it” for 31,200 and Schmidt “snapped it off; I thought he had aces.”

West: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Schmidt: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}.

With a queen on the flop, a disappointed and frustrated Schmidt was eliminated before the money.

Joseph Elpayaa Doubled Through Niall Farrell

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Niall Farrell in the hijack raised to 2,700. Action folded to Joseph Elpayaa in the big blind who went all in for 35,600 in total. Farrell had Elpayaa covered and called.

Elpayaa: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Farrell: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Elpayaa's jacks held and he doubled up.

Mikhail Rudoy Has Tough Decision

Nível 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Jonolof Fredin moved all in from the button. Thomas Pettersson in the small blind had fewer chips but seemed to have a decision on his hands. He grinned from ear to ear, seemingly relishing the torture of his dilemma. In the end, he folded.

Seemingly, Mikhail Rudoy had a tough decision too as he didn’t immediately fold. “I have a hand.” Fredin told him.

“I know you do,” Rudoy said as he looked at the screen to see they were still 10 away from the bubble. Rudoy then thought better of it and folded his hand.
