Glaser Wins the Battle of the Jacks

Nível 5 : 400/800, 200 ante

Benny Glaser opened with a raise to 2,300. It folded around to Dan Smith, who raised to 7,300. Everyone folded back to Glaser, and he called.

Smith stood pat, while Glaser took one. Then, both players checked.

Smith turned over {J-}{9-}{8-}{7-}{5-}, but Glaser showed {J-}{9-}{6-}{5-}{3-}.

"When you said, 'Check,' I thought you said, 'Jack,'" Smith said. Glaser's jack-low was best, and he took down the pot.

Some Fresh Stack Counts

Nível 5 : 400/800, 200 ante

Below is a list of some updated counts, along with the entry of Mike Leah and the re-entry of Bernard Lee.

Hildebrand gets Some

Nível 5 : 400/800, 200 ante

Ray Dehkharghani, Per Hildebrand, and Steve Gee all invested 5,500 and headed to the draw, in which Hildebrand stood pat and his two opponents drew one apiece. The action was checked through, and Dehkharghani showed a jack. Hildebrand had that beat with {10-}{8-}{8-}{7-}{5-}, and Gee mucked.

At the start of the hand, Mike Leah had chuckled. "I was dealt a full house," he said after the hand was over. The dealer replied, "I dealt a royal flush before, also in deuce to seven."

Siddique Eliminates Lee

Nível 5 : 400/800, 200 ante

Bernard Lee moved all in from under the gun for 6,300. He was called by Usman Siddique from the small blind and Frank Kasella from the big blind. Siddique stood pat, while Kassela and Lee both took one. With action on the side, Siddique shoved all in. Kassela thought briefly, then folded.

Siddique turned up {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the second nuts, and that was all she wrote for Lee. He was sent to the rail, while Siddique stacked up his chips.

Volpe and Schulman Sent to the Rail

Nível 4 : 300/600, 150 ante

A raising war resulted in the all in of Paul Volpe for around 26,000, and Jean-Robert Bellande called. Bellande stood pat, while Volpe drew one card.

Bellande tabled his {J-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}, and Volpe said, "You were trying to get me off that one," and showed {8-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. He squeezed the last card, said, "Oh wait, that's not good," before tabling a jack. His jack-eight was no good to the jack-seven of Bellande, and Volpe headed to the rail.

At the same time one table over, Steve Gee raised to 1,800 from under the gun, and Nick Schulman called. Randy Ohel three-bet to 7,000 in the big blind, and Gee folded. "How much do you have?" Schulman asked, and Ohel replied with, "Starting stack." Schulman called.

Ohel stood pat and drew one card. Once the draw was finished, Ohel checked, and Schulman moved all in for 31,625. Ohel called after one minute of consideration, and Schulman showed a pair of eights, whiel Ohel had beat with {9-}{8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}.

Bleznick Doesn't Break, Busts to Wasserson, Buys Back in

Nível 4 : 300/600, 150 ante

Eric Wasserson opened to 2,000, and Jared Bleznick three-bet jammed for 10,375. Action folded back around to Wasserson, who called, putting Bleznick at risk.

Wasserson stood pat, putting the decision on Bleznick. The two traded a few remarks as Bleznick debated. Eventually, Bleznick patted, and Wasserson announced "ten-seven," flipping over {10-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

Bleznick shook his head and tabled a ten-nine. He asked to see the top card, and Wasserson flipped it, revealing a deuce.
