Igor Sharaskin Doubles Through Wing Wong

Nível 24 : 12,000/24,000, 0 ante

Igor Sharaskin and Wing Wong got all the chips in the middle before the flop, with Wong holding the larger of the two stacks.

Sharaskin: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Wong: {A-}{A-}{J-}{4-}

Wong had the preflop advantage with his aces, and Sharaskin needed to improve in order to double up. The {8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop was no help to Sharaskin, but the {K-Diamonds} turn gave him kings full to put him way ahead. The {J-Clubs} river changed nothing, and Sharaskin doubled up.

Jason Mercier Eliminated in 30th Place ($6,214)

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante
Jason Mercier - 30th Place
Jason Mercier - 30th Place

Mark Radoja opened from the button for 46,000, and Jason Mercier called from the big blind. They both started with similar stack sizes and were not very deep,

The flop was {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}, and Mercier check-called a bet of 40,000 from Radoja.

The turn was the {8-Diamonds}, and again, Mercier check-called — this time for a bet of 100,000.

The river was the {5-Spades}, and Mercier checked.

“How much do you have behind?” Radoja wanted to know. Mercier had around 120,000. “All in,” Radoja declared and pushed his stack forward.

Mercier sighed and seemed to mutter that was a bad river card for him. Close to five minutes passed before he called.

Radoja tabled {a-Spades}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, and the dealer announced the ace-high flush. A bad river card, indeed, and once the stacks were counted down, Mercier was confirmed eliminated in 30th place.

Joe Beevers Doubles Through Alan Sternberg

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Joe Beevers and Alan Sternberg got all the chips in before the flop, with Sternberg having the larger of the two stacks.

Beevers: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Spades}
Sternberg: {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

The {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop gave Beevers a wrap, but he still needed to improve in order to win the pot and double up. The {2-Spades} on the turn was no help to him, but the {J-Diamonds} river gave him the winning hand with Broadway.

Brent Roberts Spikes Turn to Double

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Brent Roberts jammed all in on the {k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop and groaned when John Dallaire called. It could have been worse, though.

Brent Roberts: {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}
John Dallaire: {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

“Flush draw,” said Dallaire.

“My jack-high is ahead?” Roberts wondered before seeing. “Oh. Pair of fours beats my Jack.”

The turn, though, was the {j-Hearts} to give Roberts a pair, and the river {9-Clubs} confirmed his double up.

Cody Slaubaugh Doubles Through JC Tran

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Cody Slaubaugh and JC Tran got all the chips in preflop, and Tran had the larger of the two stacks by a fair margin.

Slaubaugh tabled {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades} and was well ahead of Tran's {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, and Slaubaugh doubled up with a set of aces.

Ryan Wince Doubles Through Jason Mercier

Nível 23 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Yashuo Chin raised to 45,000 from the hijack, Ryan Wince three-bet to 160,000 from the cutoff, and Jason Mercier shoved from the big blind. Chin folded, and Wince called to put himself at risk.

Mercier: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
Wince: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Mercier had the preflop advantage with his aces, and Wince needed to improve in order to double up. The {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop was no help to Wince, but the {6-Spades} turn and {7-Diamonds} river gave him a nine-high straight to win the pot.
