Hani Awad called a raise from a player in early position and saw the flop of , which triggered a continuation bet and a call by Awad on the button. After the turn the same action took place before the opponent of Awad checked the river. Awad bet and received the call, rolling over for a straight.
His opponent only had and showed them with a sigh on the face.
Tony Cousineau was hovering around with a short stack and lost the rest of it in an Omaha-8 hand against Ted Forrest. Mike Matusow just followed him to the rail, and below you can find further chip counts of notables in Level 6.
Joining the action on fourth street, Max Pescatori bet with a suited ace-deuce showing and his sole remaining opponent check-called with kings before doing so again on fifth street. The sixth street paired the nine and Pescatori bet again with very few chips behind, which he then got in after seventh street.
His opponent called and wanted to muck when Pescatori flashed for a flush, but as per all-in showdown rules, his was revealed.
Pete Linton raised from early position and picked up a single caller in the cutoff. On the flop, nothing much happened as both players checked. Linton then bet the turn and was called before doing so again on the river. His opponent called and rolled over for the low. Linton tabled for two pairs and claimed the other portion of the pot.
"I got lucky," the cutoff said.
Linton replied, "No, I got lucky. Oh, wait. I was winning as I had the five ... silly game."
Linton then lost the next hand in razz with an eighty-seven before forcing a fold from another opponent the following hand by betting through all streets and forcing a fold on fifth.
The seat of James Eads is now occupied by another player and he has been eliminated. New faces in the competition include Michael Gathy and Todd Brunson, while Chris Tryba, John Monnette, and Michael Mizrachi are on the way up.
A player completed with a king and Ismael Bojang called before the player next to him made it three bets. Adam Thoutt called and Bojang also came along. Both Thoutt and Bojang called the bets of the third player on fourth and fifth street. Thoutt bet sixth street and was called, then bet again on seventh street.
Bojang eventually sighed and announced, "I fold."
The third player in the hand came to the same conclusion.
"Queens up any good?" Bojang asked.
The other player chimed in, "I think he had a flush," referring to Thoutt.
The latter replied, "I had two pair and a flush draw," and raked in the pot before the trio headed into the dinner break.
