Eveslage Eliminates Racener

Nível 12
John Racener
John Racener

No-Limit Hold'em

John Racener got lucky once to survive when he chopped ace-three against the ace-eight of David Bach. The deck was less kind when he jammed all in from the small blind for about 9,000 and Chad Eveslage snap-called in the big.

Racener: {q-Spades}{6-Clubs}
Eveslage: {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Racener got up to leave. The {6-Hearts} gave him some hope, but a {7-Hearts} river was the final card he would see.

Durkee Triples, Turner Wins Side Pot

Nível 12

2-7 Triple Draw

Will Durkee was all in pre-draw for his last 1,100 against David Benyamine and Jon Turner.

Durkee drew one as Benyamine and Turner drew two. Benyamine checked and Turner bet 1,500.

Benyamine called and both active players drew one as Durkee stood pat.

Benyamine check-called a bet of 3,000 and drew one as Turner stood pat.

Benyamine checked, Turner checked, and tabled his {9-}{8-}{7-}{5-}{3-} and Benyamine mucked.

Durkee tabled his {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for a number two and took the main pot to move to 4,100 while Turner took the side pot.

Gerhart Can't Stand the Johnson Heat

Nível 12
Kevin Gerhart
Kevin Gerhart

Pot-Limit Omaha

The action folded to Marco Johnson in the small blind and he limped in as Kevin Gerhart checked in the big blind.

The flop fell down {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Johnson led out for 1,600 before Gerhart raised to 4,500.

Johnson responded with a re-pot amounting to 15,100 total and Gerhart released his hand.

Franklin Survives

Nível 12

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

We found "Captain" Tom Franklin sweating possibly his last card of the tournament. An opponent already had a nine-seven sitting face up on the felt while Franklin was drawing to {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}. He turned over the {3-Hearts} for a seven-low and a double.

"That's some good drawin'," he declared.

Big O

Kevin Gerhart opened with a raise and both Alan Richardson and the blinds called.

The flop landed {4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Spades} and Richardson bet pot of 6,800 and only Gerhart called.

The turn landed the {8-Diamonds} and Gerhart moved all in as Richardson called.

Gerhart: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Richardson: {A-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{X-}

The river landed the {K-Hearts} and both players chopped the low while Gerhart took the high with his trip eights.

Sokoloff Scoops Johnson

Nível 12

Stud Hi-Lo Regular

Marco Johnson raised a bet from Paul Sokoloff on fourth street when Sokoloff was showing {3-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and Johnson {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}, but Sokoloff caught good on fifth and both players checked:

Johnson: {x-}{x-} / {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Sokoloff: {x-}{x-} / {3-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{4-Spades}

Sokoloff bet when he caught the {2-Diamonds} and Johnson the {k-Hearts}, and Sokoloff bet the end dark. Johnson called after some thought.

Sokoloff revealed {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for a flush and a seven-low, but it sounded like he initially announced aces for high. Johnson showed {k-}{8-}{2-} for kings up, but upon the realization that Sokoloff had made a diamond flush, he mucked to send the whole pot to Sokoloff.

Harmetz Short

Nível 12

Pot-Limit Omaha

From the button, Daniel Harmetz raised pot to 2,800 and Alex Luneau called from the big blind.

The flop fell {A-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and both players checked as the turn landed the {A-Diamonds}.

Luneau announced a bet of pot and put 6,000 into the middle as Harmetz folded and left himself with just 3,700 in chips.
