Colavita Wins a Flip Against Mermelstein
Nível 38
: Blinds 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Aaron Mermelstein has been one of the most active players at his table, raising preflop in many recent pots. He opened once again from the cutoff.
Mike Matusow on the button folded, and Mario Colavita went all in from the small blind for 11,800,000. The big blind folded and Mermelstein snap-called.
Mario Colavita: A♣K♣
Aaron Mermelstein: J♥J♦
The flop was 8♣6♣3♦. Mermelstein was still ahead, but Colavita flopped a flush draw along with his two overcards.
The turn was the A♠, a terrible card for Mermelstein and he was down to one out, the J♠. The river was the 4♥ and Colavita doubled up.
