Brandon Sheils started the hand with 28,000 in chips and raised pot from the button to 5,400. Ethan Cahn was in the small blind and re-potted to 17,400. Sheils called.

The flop came 2♥Q♣9♦. Chan put Sheils all in and Sheils quickly called.

Sheils flopped two pair, which held on the 10♣ turn and even gave him the nut flush draw and a gutshot.

The river, however, paired the board. It was the 2♠ that gave Cahn better two pair, kings and deuces, and Sheils was out of another buy-in.

On a heads-up flop of 10♠Q♥2♣, short-stacked Ben Ludlow moved all in and was quickly called by the player to his left to put him at risk.

Ludlow was currently ahead with his pair of queens, but still had to dodge a lot of outs as his opponent had a wrap and a backdoor flush draw.

Fortunately for Ludlow, the runout of 6♠2♦ was safe for him and he scooped the pot for a double.

Maddocks Knocks Out Deeb

Michael Maddocks three-bet preflop to 5,500 and the player under the gun called, as did Shaun Deeb in the cutoff.

The flop came J♦9♥5♥. Under the gun checked and Deeb bet the pot, which was 19,000. Maddocks called and under the gun folded. Before the dealer dealt the turn, Deeb asked Maddocks if there is any chance he will fold. "It depends on what comes on the turn,“ replied Maddocks.

The turn was the 7♠ and Deeb went all in, which Maddocks quickly called.

Michael Maddocks: Q♥J♥10♣8♣

Both players turned the nut straight and had a flush draw to go with it, but Maddocks‘s draw was better.

The river came a K♠, which completed Maddocks less obvious draw to a better straight, nine-to-king, and Deeb was eliminated.

Both the under-the-gun player and Ludovic Geilich, in the cutoff, checked through to the Q♦ on the turn. The cutoff checked again and Geilich bet out 4,500, earning a quick fold.

As he raked in the pot, Geilich said "Good fold, I'll show ya!" as he flashed K♥QxJ♠ for two pair.
