The initial schedule — US and international — is out for the 2024-2025 World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) season, and it should create some excitement within the poker community.
Action for the 20th Circuit season kicks off at a familiar spot — Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, Oklahoma — on July 17, the same day as the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event concludes. There will also be a return to the same casino in October.
There are 18 stops — 13 in the US and five in other countries — on the 2024 portion of the WSOPC schedule. That includes five different countries and eight US states.
The 360 remaining players are headed on a 60 minute dinner break. After the break, four more levels of play will take place before the remaining players bag for the night.
Vitor Dzivielevski raised from early position to 16,000 and the hijack three-bet to 32,000 and the player in the cutoff four-bet shoved to 45,000. Dzivielevski five-bet all in for about 200,000 and the hijack folded.
Cutoff: 7♠7♣
Vitor Dzivielevski: A♥K♠
The board ran out with A♦10♣8♠A♠K♥ and Dzivielevski took down the pot eliminating his opponent.
Scott Blumstein was in the cutoff and the player in late position raised to 16,000, Blumstein with the big stack moved all in for effective about 200,000 and the player called.
Late position: 9♣9♦
Scott Blumstein: 10♠10♥
The board ran out with Q♥7♥3♣A♥2♠ and the tens held for Blumstein.
Chance Kornuth raised to 16,000 from early position and Brian Roff moved all in for 114,000. Kornuth found the call and both players revealed their holdings.
Brian Roff: A♦Q♠
Chance Kornuth: 6♠6♣
The board ran out 8♠10♦A♠8♥3♦ for Roff to find the double.
Tjan Tepeh was in the tank on the river, with a decision for his tournament life on the line. The board read 9♥9♦5♠A♥10♠.
Tepeh had about 264,000 behind and the big blind had forced him all in with a pot of around 200,000 in the middle.
Tepeh looked in two minds and truly torn on what his decision should be.
"Please give me something bro", he said to his silent opponent. "I will give you 20 seconds to say something" he continued but as his opponent stayed silent, it looked like Tepeh was about to slide his cards into the muck but at the last moment he tossed in the one chip call.
"Good call" said his opponent and tabled the 10♥7♥ which Tepeh had bested with the A♦Q♠ and he raked in the large pot.
Action was caught from the river with the 9♠10♥2♦6♦10♦ board already dealt. The pot stood at around 125,000 and Elliot Smith was all in for around 180,000 from the button. Action was then on Gal Naim to make the call from an early position for pretty much his entire stack.
Naim took some time before making the call and the players flipped their hands.
Elliot Smith: 2♠2♣
Gal Naim: A♣10♣
Smith showed pocked deuces for the boat whilst Naim had a set of tens.
Naim was left with four chips worth 4,000 after the hand and moved all in blind from under the gun. There were two callers before the small blind raised, and left the players to go heads up, giving Naim a chance to multiply his stack.
Gal Naim: J♠5♣
Small blind: K♦Q♥
Naim saw his hand at the same time as the other players on the table but wasn't looking strong after seeing the small blind's king queen.
The Q♦7♣J♦ flop teased Naim giving him middle pair, but the small blind hit top pair.
The 6♦ and 8♠ completed the board and Naim was sent home with a minimum cash after just making the money.
An early position player moved all in and Samuel Laskowitz made the call from middle position. Both players revealed their hands.
Early Position: 10♥10♣
Samuel Laskowitz: A♣K♥
The board ran out 5♠2♦4♠K♠3♦ for Laskowitz to take the pot.
