The dealer fanned a flop of 7♣4♠A♠, the early position player bet 4,000, Monk called and the big blind folded.

The turn was the 4♦, the early position player checked, Monk bet 6,000 and the early position player went all in having Monk covered. Monk made the call and was at risk.

Nathan Monk: A♥7♥ All in
Early Position Player: K♠8♠.

The river was a blank card, securing the double up for Monk.

Hand One:

The player under the gun raised to 2,000, the player in middle position called and Joshua Kublnick, in the big blind, squeezed to 8,000. The original raiser thought about his decision before finally making the fold, as did the player in middle position.

Hand Two:

The very next hand, the button raised to 2,000. Kublnick, now in the small blind, wasn't done showing aggression and put in a three-bet to 6,000, earning another frustrated fold.

Bahranipoor needed some help to come out ahead with his dominated hand, but the deck found a way as the flop came out Q♦Q♥9♥ to give him a huge lead with trip queens. Only a running straight or aces could save the at-risk player, but the turn 3♦ left him dead in the water and the 4♥ sent him shaking his head all the way to the exit.

Tarango Going for Another Deep Run

Billy Tarango was under the gun and raised to 2,000 and both the blinds made the call. The flop came out 9♥Q♠4♦ and Tarango made the continuation bet of 3,000 after the blinds checked. The small blind called and the big blind folded.

On the turn A♦ the small blind moved all in for 20,000 effective and Tarango called.

The small blind held a pair of queens with the flush draw and Tarango had the pair of aces. The river K♣ did not change the result and Tarango raked in a nice pot. Tarango made a deep run in Event #73: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha (8-Handed), achieving 6th place.
