McParland Makes a Big Call

Nível 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Heads-up on a board of 5AJQ, Matt McParland bet 17,000 from early position before Courtney Farnes moved all in from the hijack.

"What's it going to be?" McParland muttered to himself as he kneeled on his chair and went deep into the tank. He had around 35,000 remaining and tanked for several minutes before calling.

Farnes showed AJ for two pair, but McParland had AQ for a better two pair. The river was the 3 and McParland doubled up.

"Only in the Main Event. I've never thought that long before," McParland said after the hand.

Jeff Sluzinski

Jeff "Boski" Sluzinski had raised from early position and was three-bet by Bryan Campanello in the big blind. Boski called to see the 75A flop, leading to a pot 14,500 chips.

He then called the 3,500 bet of Campanello and did so too when Campanello sized up to 11,000 on the 9 turn.

Campanello slowed down on the 10 river and checked, after which Sluzinski bet 19,000 chips. Campanello flicked in a call but mucked his cards when Sluzinski showed 77 for a flopped set.

The cutoff checked the 5210 flop and then called after Steinwachs bet 1,200.

The 4 turn saw the cutoff check once more. Steinwachs fired again, this time sizing up to 8,000 and was met by a swift fold from his opponent to take down a modest pot.

Zhang revealed the K3 for a bluff and Christopher Hovey joked "you didn't watch 1c?" Before he added a few seconds later, "just kidding, I have never seen him before".

Nível 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

Action was on the river as the board read 8KK74. Sean Ragozzini was in the midst of a decision for his tournament life from the button as Sergi Reixach, who was in the cutoff, had bet enough to put him all in with a pot of just over 100,000 in it.

Ragozzini had about 29,000 behind and stewed it over for several moments before he folded to preserve his remaining stack.

--
A few hands later at the loaded table 634 in the gold section, Felipe Ramos took out Wesley Haymond when his QxQx busted KxJx on a board of 7xKx8x8xQx after a river shove from Haymond and snap call from Ramos.
