Chip Count Update From Paris Black; Section Breaking Fast

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Less than 20 tables still remain in the Paris Black section as the field continues to dwindle on Day 2.

Jaka Saved By the River

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Faraz Jaka raised all in for 6,000 from under the gun, and when it folded to the button Joshua Timler, he made the call. Both of the blinds folded leaving the two players heads up, with Jaka at risk.

Faraz Jaka: A4 All in
Joshua Timler: 33

Timler was ahead with his pocket threes, but Jaka did have two over cards. After the flop came 3J7 it improved Timler to a set but it gave Jaka a flush draw as well. The 6 on the turn also gave Jaka additional outs with a straight draw. That straight draw came right in on the river when the 5 hit the felt, to improve Jaka to a seven high straight, and secure the double up.

Lemery Drags Four-Bet Pot

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player in early position opened 2,500 and the hijack called before Nicholas Peterson called in the cutoff. Dylan Lemery was on the button and put in a three-bet to 12,000. The early position player put in another raise, making it 25,000, forcing the hijack and Peterson to snap-fold, while Lemery made the call.

When the J87 flop hit the felt, the early position player continued for 22,000, and Lemery matched the bet.

The dealer rolled the 3 on the turn, and the early position player slowed down with a check. Lemery fired 22,500, and that was enough to earn the pot.

Ievchenko and Spallone Make Flushes

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Nathan Forrest had open-raised preflop and Oleksii Ievchenko and Gabriella Spallone called in the blinds. The K95 flop then checked through before Forrest bet 3,600 on the 5 turn after two more checks.

Ievchenko raised to 9,000 and Spallone called. Forrest had seen enough and laid his hand down as the A river to complete the board.

Ievchenko slowed down and checked, prompting Spallone to bet 21,000 chips. Ievchenko quickly called and was shown J7 by his opponent.

Ievchenko played the higher flush with his A8, however, and raked in the sizable pot.

Max Kingstone: AK All in

Coltman Doubles Through Selbst

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Brett Coltman opened to 2,500 from middle position and received calls from Vanessa Selbst in the small blind as well as Thomas Drivas in the big blind.

Selbst and Drivas checked following the 832 flop, prompting Coltman to continue for 3,000. Only Selbst called to send the two players to the turn.

Action checked through the 8 turn to the 9 river at which point Selbst checked once more. Coltman moved all in for his last 11,000 and, after some thought, Selbst made the call. Coltman tabled KK for the overpair, sufficient to take down the pot, earning him a full double while putting a dent in Selbst's stack.

Karavas and Covington Score a Knockout

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
John Karavas
John Karavas

John Karavas raised and Colby Covington three-bet to 8,000 on the button. Peter Sanneblad got his last 12,400 in the middle from the big blind. Karavas squeezed to 30,000 only for Covington to push all-in for 141,800.

That instantly sent Karavas into a frenzy and he spun out of his chair.

"Do you have aces again, buddy?" he asked but eventually called with the covering stack.

Peter Sanneblad: J9 All in
Colby Covington: KK All in
John Karavas: KK

The suited one gapper found no help on the AQ1069 board and the short stack of Sanneblad was chopped up.

Toole Drags it on the Flop

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player in middle position opened 2,700 and Punal Patel called in the hijack before Hayden Toole three-bet 9,300 on the button. The middle position player made the call, and Patel mucked his hand.

The dealer fanned a flop of KK10 and once checked to, Toole continued for 5,000. His opponent quickly mucked his hand as the dealer pushed the pot toward him.
