Berkey Rivers a Set Against Brenes

Nível 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante
Matt Berkey
Matt Berkey

There were 4,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 29J when Humberto Brenes bet 4,000, and Matt Berkey was the only player to call.

Both checked the 3 turn to see the 5 fall on the river. Berkey bet 8,500, and Brenes thought for a moment before he called.

Berkey tabled 55 for a rivered set, and Brenes flashed a jack to the table then continued to hold onto his cards in disbelief at the fact he had been rivered. Eventually, Brenes mucked but kept staring at his opponent while the pot was pushed in Berkey's direction.

Fritz Stays Alive

Nível 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Manuel Fritz was three-way on a flop of A3K, with around 13,500 chips in the middle. The action checked to Fritz in the hijack, who bet 3,000. The player under the gun folded before his opponent in early position called.

On the Q turn, Fritz shipped his remaining 9,000 in the middle and received a quick fold from his opponent's 10x10x.

Morales Has the Better Kicker

Nível 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Ashley "Ash Kardash" Morales was left with a short stack after losing a big pot with pocket queens and picked up some chips just now. She called a raise to 1,100 by the hijack and then called another bet worth 1,500 on the 1022 flop. They checked the 7 turn and 9 river for the hijack to announce ace-five.

Morales had the superior kicker with the AJ to win the pot. "I needed that one," she exclaimed in table chat.

Action was caught on a flop of QJ2, in a hand between Paul Clements, who was under the gun and Mason Hinkle, in early position.

Clements check-called a bet of 3,000 from Hinkle, bringing the 7 turn. Clements check-called again, this time for 6,500 and the river landed the 5.

Klein Gets a Chop

Nível 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Morten Klein opened to 1,200 from early position and was called by a player in middle position as well as the big blind.

Action checked through the K6J flop to the A turn at which point both the big blind and Klein checked once more. The middle position player bet 3,000, forcing a fold from the big blind but getting a call from Klein.

Neither player put any more money in the pot once the 6 river completed the board. The middle position player turned over AQ to chop the pot with Klein, who held A10 and was thus the beneficiary of a kind river.
