With two players seeing a board of 5♦10♣2♥ and about 7,000 in the middle Andrea Dato checked from early position and Nikita Kalinin bet 3,200 from middle position. Dato made the call.
Dato checked again on the K♦ turn and Kalinin bet 8,000. Dato opted to muck and Kalinin took the pot without showdown.
Donald McCall opened the action with a raise to 1,000 from the cutoff. Stefan Cvetkovski three-bet to 2,500 from the button and McCall made the call.
Action went check-check on a rainbow K♣J♦8♥ flop before McCall took the betting lead wagering 3,500 on the 6♣ turn. Cvetkovski called.
McCall checked the 3♣ river over to Cvetkovski who bet 5,000. After some deliberation, McCall folded his cards.
Robert Beaster opened the action with a raise to 1,600 from the hijack. Maksim Paniak three-bet to 4,800 from the small blind and Beaster made the call.
Paniak continued for 3,200 on A♣3♣5♥ before Beaster raised to 8,200. Paniak put in a reraise to 19,200 and Beaster got out of the way. Paniak showed A♥A♦ while raking in the pot.
Action picked up on the river in a hand between Dragana Mackelprang in the cutoff and the player in the hijack.
With about 37,000 in the pot and the board reading 6♥7♣Q♦2♦10♠, the hijack checked and Mackelprang fired out a bet of 21,000.
The hijack, who was clearly faced with a tough decision, asked Mackelprang, "You wouldn't bluff me on Day 1, would you?"
Mackelprang smiled and the hijack eventually tossed his cards into the muck. Mackelprang tabled 6♦6♣ for three of a kind, sixes.
JJ Johnson rasied to 1,300 from early position, Qui Nguyen three-bet to 3,000 on the button and Johnson called.
Johnson check-called a bet of 3,000 from Nguyen on the Q♦K♥Q♠ flop.
The 10♠ turn checked through to the 3♠ on the river. Johnson took the lead for 9,000 and Nguyen made the call. Johnson tabled A♣Q♠ for flopped trips, winning him this pot.
Heads-up on a flop of 5♦J♣K♦, David Nunez bet 2,200 from under the gun and Guilherme Pessoa called in the small blind.
The turn was the Q♣ and Nunez bet 5,000. Pessoa then raised to 13,500, Nunez moved all in for around 32,000, and Pessoa snap called.
Nunez showed K♣Q♠ for two pair, but Pessoa had A♥10♦ for the nut straight. Nunez needed to fill up on the river to stay alive but missed the J♥ as he headed for the exit.
Richard Robles limped in from middle position and Sarah Lee raised to 1,200 from the cutoff. Robles made the call.
The flop came A♠10♥6♦ and Robles check-called a 1,000 continuation bet from Lee.
Robles led out with a bet of 2,000 on the K♠ turn. Lee raised to 6,500 and Robles called.
On the 2♣ river Robles check-called a 15,500 bet from Lee. Robles had aces up with A♣10♦ but Lee had turned a Broadway straight with Q♥J♠ to take down a sizable early pot.
Action was picked up on a 9♦5♠3♠ flop with 6,600 in the middle.
Phillip Hayes moved all in from the button for his final 6,000 chips. Cameron Paradiso called from early position and Tyler Lunn called in the hijack.
The 7♠ turn rolled off and Lunn fired 7,000. Paradiso mucked and Lunn had Hayes drawing dead.
