2024 World Series of Poker
Life Outside Poker is a new podcast for PokerNews hosted by Connor Richards that seeks to pull back the curtain on poker players and allow viewers and listeners to get to know them on a personal level.
In the tenth episode, Connor speaks with health and life coach Tyler Todt, a longtime poker player who made seven figures in early online poker days before taking a job in the banking industry and eventually leaving that to become his own boss and a health influencer.
Todt talked about online poker pre-Black Friday, bum hunting Tom Dwan, the benefits of a balanced life, avoiding the pitfalls of Las Vegas, being bullish on humanity and his favorite non-fiction books.
This interview was filmed at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) inside Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
The Life Outside Poker podcast is available on major streaming platforms including Apple Podcasts, Spotify and iHeartRadio. You can also watch the interview with Tyler Todt by heading to the PokerNews YouTube channel.
In the 843rd episode of the PokerNews Podcast, Chad Holloway and Kyna England are joined at Level 9 Studio by Joey Ingram, who served as special co-host to talk about the latest happenings at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) as well as his new partnership with GTO Wizard.
The biggest story is that of Scott Seiver, who captured his third bracelet of the summer and became just the seventh player in history to win three bracelets in the same year. Could he make history by becoming the only player to win four? He has two more weeks to do it.
Despite winning three bracelets, you might be surprised to learn that Seiver is far from a lock to win the 2024 WSOP Player of the Year; in fact, Jeremy Ausmus, who hasn't won a bracelet this summer, isn't too far behind in points thanks to a bevy of final table appearances. Would a non-bracelet winner winning POY over a three-time winner cause a controversy? The crew discusses that very possibility.
Chad then shares pictures and videos from the exclusive Global Poker party that took place at PokerGO Studio on Sunday night, while Ingram opens up about all things GTO Wizard. As usual, you'll also get your dose of other WSOP bracelet winners and a $25K Fantasy update. Oh, and did we mention talk about Daniel Negreanu, Nick Schulman, and Phil Ivey? Because that's all in there too.
A new PokerNews Podcast will drop twice weekly during the 2024 WSOP every Tuesday and Friday at 8a PT / 11a ET / 4p UK time. Make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel so you do not miss an episode!

Today sees the start of Event #79: $50,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha (8-Handed) here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.
This three-day event begins at 2 p.m. local time, with late registration open for 13 levels (≈ 1:40 p.m. on Day 2). This event allows for two reentries. There will be 15-minute breaks every three levels.
The starting stack is 300,000 chips, and Day 1 will consist of 12 levels. Levels last 40 minutes. Day 2 resumes at 1:00 p.m. local time for the surviving players and plays until only five remain. Day 3's start time has yet to be decided.
Last year’s event drew in 200 entrants, who created a $9,550,000 prize pool. America's Jesse Lonis came out on top, raking in $2,303,017 and his second WSOP bracelet.
“It’s incredible. It’s my first $50,000, so I can’t start better in the high rollers,” he said following his win. “It just feels great because it’s a tough tournament. Obviously, every player in it, 99 percent of them, are great players. It was a mental battle and nice to come out on top.”
