Day 1 of the $2,500 Mixed Big Bet Event Starts at 2 PM

Welcome back to PokerNews, the official media partner of the 2024 World Series of Poker and home of live updates from all bracelet events.

Today sees the start of Event #77: $2,500 Mixed Big Bet here at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas.

This three-day event begins at 2 p.m. local time, with late registration open for 12 levels. This event allows for two reentries. There will be 15-minute breaks every two hours of play.

The starting stack is 35,000 chips, with the plan for Day 1 to play 11 levels. Levels 1-6 last 40 minutes, with the clock extending to 60 minutes from Level 7 through to the event's conclusion. Day 2 resumes at 1 p.m. Tuesday for the surviving players and plays out ten levels, before Day 3 plays down to a winner. Day 3 start time is yet to be decided.

Last year’s event drew 377 entrants, who created an $838,825 prize pool. Argentina's Julio Belluscio came out on top, raking in $190,240 and his first WSOP bracelet.
