Are we witnessing the greatest World Series of Poker (WSOP) ever?
No hyperbole, that's a genuine question. On Sunday, Scott Seiver won his third bracelet of the summer making him a lock to win the 2024 WSOP Player of the Year award. Or, so you'd think. But the latter part of that sentence couldn't be further from the truth.
The remaining 41 players are going on a 60-minute dinner break.

Nikolay Fal bet on sixth street and got two instant calls from Adam Friedman and Todd Brunson.
On seventh, Fal bet again. Friedman raised. Brunson called swiftly. Fal would need to put in his remaining 3,000 to make the call as he agonized over it for a few moments before he called.
Friedman announced two pair, but it was beaten by Brunson's jacks up two pair for the high. And Fal stayed alive by taking the low.

Action arrived on seventh street where Chad Eveslage bet but Dario Sammartino raised it up. Eveslage took several moments to think it over before calling.
Sammartino tabled the straight and Eveslage mucked instantly.
