Set Over Set Sends Eldridge into the Lead
Nível 32
: Blinds 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
David Eldridge opened to 1,800,000 on the button and Brian Rast defended his big blind.
Rast checked to Eldridge, who continued for 2,200,000 on the 3♥10♥J♣ flop. Rast then check-raised to 10,800,000, which was met with a shove for 19,700,000 from Eldridge. Rast called to put Eldridge at risk and a showdown was held.
David Eldridge: K♠J♠J♥6♠
Brian Rast: 10♠4♥3♠3♦
Eldridge found himself in commanding shape with top set against Rast's bottom set, and the 7♥5♠ runout kept Eldridge best for the double up to take the chip lead.
