Kliper Plays it Perfect

Action folded around to Kevin Nathan in the small blind who raised to 375,000 with A5. Arie Kliper defended his big blind with 98.

Nathan continued for 275,000 on 56Q before Kliper bumped it up to 665,000. After a short tank, Nathan mucked and Kliper took it down with just eight-high.

Nathan Takes Some Chips Back from Checkwicz

Kevin Nathan raised to 375,000 from the cutoff with A9. Mark Checkwicz, in the big blind, defended with A4.

The 6A3 flop gave both players top pair, each deciding to check to the 4 turn. Checkwicz improved to two pair, prompting him to lead for 400,000. Nathan called.

The 9 river improved Nathan to a better two-pair. Checkwicz bet out 1,200,000 and Nathan called, winning this pot.

Vela Finds a Little Value

The 10 river saw Checkwicz take the lead. Both players checked to a showdown and Checkwicz won this big pot with his pair of tens.
