Owais Ahmed opened to 80,000 from the cutoff before David Funkhouser three-bet to 260,000 on the button. Michael Dreese then moved all in for 610,000 out of the big blind, forcing a quick fold from Ahmed. Funkhouser, however, made the call to put Dreese at risk.
Dreese took one while Funkhouser opted to stand pat after which he tabled 8x7x5x4x3x. Meanwhile Dreese had 7x5x4x2x and would need to find a three, six or eight to survive. Instead, he peeled 10x to send him out in 9th place, leaving the remaining players to consolidate into the unofficial final table of eight.
