Li's Set Crushes Ilyasov

Nível 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Jun Li
Jun Li

On a Q54 flop, Jun Li checked to Rami Ilyasov who bet 250,000. Seated in the small blind, Li check-raised to 700,000 and Ilyasov called.

Li quickly went all in for 1,415,000 on the 8 turn and Ilyasov snapped him off.

Jun Li: 55
Rami Ilyasov: AQ

Ilyasov groaned after seeing Li tabling a set of fives. With his top pair being dead, he still had the clubs as outs but bricked the J river to be left with crumbs.

The Queens Giveth and the Queens Taketh Away

Nível 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Yesterday, Kenneth Kemple won with pocket queens versus pocket kings late in the day to stay alive in the tournament. Looking down at QQ again, he raised it up and was met by a three-bet shove from Jordan Schneible.

Kemple called it off and Schneible flipped over AK for the classic race. The board came down AJ45J and Kemple had to fork over a sizable portion of his stack.
