Shankar Gets There to Leave Lennon Short

The dealer spread a flop of 5♣3♣2♥ and Shankar continued for 220,000. Lennon piled a stack of greens and pushed them across the line for a raise to 550,000. Shankar took a couple of moments before jamming his 1,140,000 across the line and Lennon snap called.

Lennon briefly had the lead but the 4♦ turn left him drawing to a chop as Shankar improved to a straight. The J♠ river was no help for Lennon as Shankar raked in the double.
