Darius Samual Among Chip Leaders as Day 2 of Event #60: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em Gets Underway at Noon

Day 2 of Event #60: $3,000 No-Limit Hold'em kicks off at 12 p.m. at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas with 539 players returning from the 1,440 entries. This number will of course grow as late registration remains open for two more levels and will close at the start of Level 13 (around 2:15 p.m.).

In a rare situation, the chip lead is shared between China's Yanfeng Wang and Brazil's Jose Ferreira after they both bagged up 369,000 chips at the end of Day 1. One player that isn't unfamiliar with holding big stacks is the UK's Darius Samual who starts the day ninth in the counts with 290,000 chips. The British player has had several deep runs at the 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) but his spotlight moment was winning the $25k Heads-Up event for a career-best score of $500,000 and his first-ever bracelet.

Several other bracelet winners such as Carl Shaw (283,000), Joey Weissman (276,000), Roman Hrabec (248,500), Julien Sitbon (224,000), and Jessica Teusl (221,000) all have big stacks and are looking to make another deep run in a bracelet event.

The blinds will start at Level 11 (1,000/2,000/2,000) with an average stack of almost 107,000 chips and levels remain 60-minutes long. Players that register throughout the first two levels will start with a stack of 40,000, with the max late registration stack being worth just over 13 big blinds after the first break.
