The river brought the 9♣ and Jaka led out for 40,000. Messere called and mucked his hand when Jaka tabled Q♥9♦ for a pair of nines.
A couple hands later, on a flop of 4♦7♠K♠ and 32,000 in the pot, Messere check-raised to 59,000 over Jaka's bet of 9,000. Jaka called and the turn brought the 4♠.
Messere fired out 100,000 and Jaka called. The river brought the 3♠, which slowed down the action with four spades now being on the board. Both players checked and Messere turned over 5♥6♠ for a flush to earn a small lead early on.
