Rast Doubles Through Shakerchi

Nível 4

Razz

Brian Rast: A5/4339/6
Talal Shakerchi: A7/581010/Xx

Brian Rast completed and was called by Talal Shakerchi.

Rast bet on fourth street with Shakerchi making the call.

Fifth street paired up Rast, prompting Shakerchi to take over the betting. Rast raised and ended up getting his remaining chips in the middle to put himself at risk.

Shakerchi paired up his ten on the remaining runout while Rast peeled a six on the river to secure a full double to keep his title defense going for at least a little while longer. Shakerchi, meanwhile, has seen much of his early gain erased in the last couple of levels.

Negreanu and Pisarenko Play Out Entertaining Razz Pot

Nível 4

Razz

Daniel Negreanu: XxXx / 10xQx6xAx / Xx
Maksim Pisarenko: XxXx / 3xKxQx9x / Xx

Daniel Negreanu brought in and called a complete from Maksim Pisarenko. On fourth street, after getting dealt a queen, Negreanu motioned to muck only for Pisarenko to pick up a king.

Negreanu bet and Pisarenko called.

"Funny when this happens," said Negreanu as Pisarenko got dealt another face card. Negreanu bet again and Pisarenko called.

The pair exchanged some friendly back and forth, with Negreanu check-calling a bet on sixth and the pair checking seventh street.

Pisarenko tabled 10x7xAx for a ten-nine. Negreanu turned over Ax2x2x thinking he'd made a better ten, but he'd double-paired and Pisarenko took down the pot.

Rast Is Getting Even Shorter

Nível 3

Omaha Hi-Lo

Fresh off winning a multi-way pot without showdown, table chip leader Erick Lindgren raised in the hijack. Maxx Coleman called on the button and Brian Rast defended the big blind. On the A98 flop, it checked to Coleman and his bet was called both ways.

The exact same action repeated on the J turn and the K river was then checked through. Rast showed K743x for a pair of kings and a missed low and flush draw. Lindgren mucked but Coleman won the pot with the A952.

Coleman Scoops Rast to Leave Defending Champ Short

Nível 3
Maxx Coleman
Maxx Coleman

Omaha Hi-Lo

Maxx Coleman opened on the button, receiving calls from both Talal Shakerchi in the small blind as well as Brian Rast in the big blind.

Coleman bet after action checked to him on the Q56 flop. Shakerchi and Rast both came along to see a turn.

The turn came 9. Shakerchi checked for a second time but Rast took the opportunity to bet out. Coleman put in a raise, which was enough to convince Shakerchi to vacate the hand. Rast, however, made the call.

Rast called another bet from Coleman after the 8 river. Coleman tabled A872 for the straight and eight low to scoop Rast, leaving the defending champion short about midway through Day 1.

Prociak Takes From Rotholz

Nível 3

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Koray Aldemir raised to 4,000 and David Prociak three-bet to 14,000 on the button. Hal Rotholz cold-called in the big blind, and Aldemir made it three.

All three players drew one.

It checked to Prociak who bet 33,000. Rotholz called and after some consideration, Aldemir folded.

"Eight-seven," said Prociak, tabling 8x7x5x4x2x

"Nine-seven?" said Rotholz showing 9x6x5x4x2x. "Maybe I just wanted to hear nine-seven."
