With 14 bracelets and nearly $50 million in tournament earnings between the four of them, there's no denying that Shaun Deeb, Josh Arieh, Daniel Weinman and Matt Glantz are poker crushers. But with resumes that include a $1 million bounty pull, a body fat prop bet victory worth nearly the same amount and a win in the biggest World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event in history, it's clear the group of close friends also have luck on their sides.

The four American poker players have branded themselves as "Team Lucky" — a name that Deeb may have come up with, though they aren't certain — as a way of consciously embracing and owning their good fortunes while fighting back against the jaded cynicism all to common in the poker world.

But Team Lucky is about more than once-in-a-lifetime bounty binks and turned two-outers leading to $12 million scores. As PokerNews learned during brunch with its four members, is more about friendship, camaraderie, and shared values than a good run of cards.

Petrangelo checked to Kim on the 10♦4♥Q♦ flop and he continued 30,000. Petrangelo then check-raised to 135,000 and Kim called.

Kim called a 350,000 barrel from Petrangelo on the 2♥ turn, but folded facing a 1,091,000 bet from Petrangelo on the 9♣ river.

Seth Davies raised to 38,000 from middle position, Jonathan Jaffe three-bet to 110,000 from the hijack and Mikita Badziakouski cold four-bet to 260,000, from the big blind.

Davies got out of the way and Jaffe went into the tank. After some time, Jaffe put in a five-bet to 560,000 and Badziakouski made a swift fold.

Despite Danny Tang repeatedly asking Jaffe to show, his cards hit the muck and he claimed this pot without a showdown.

While the hand was playing out, Charles Hook, Andrew Lichtenberger and Ben Heath were in discussion. Vogelsang asked for the conversation to hush, which the trio complied with.

Action checked through, with the 4♣ river completing the board. Martirosian led out for 430,000, sending Vogelsang into the tank.

Vogelsang used up three time banks before flicking in a calling chip.

Martirosian tabled K♦9♦ for top pair and Vogelsang called.

Mateos checked again on the 4♦ river and Tollerene put him to the test with an overbet of 835,000. Mateos called. Tollerene could only show 3♦3♠ for a pair of threes, while Mateos turned over 10♦6♦ for a flopped two pair that became a rivered flush.

The A♥ completed the board and Martirosian checked to Hook, who bet 160,000. Martirosian folded and Hook collected the pot.
