Wiszowaty Bets into Wu's Set

Nível 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

After a preflop raise to 210,000 from Huihan Wu and a call from Philip Wiszowaty, the two players checked all the way to the river 7Q35A.

Wiszowaty checked again, and Wu then placed out a small bet of 140,000. Wiszowaty thought for a few seconds and then put in a big check-raise to 1,300,000.

After some thought, Wu made the call and was shown Q10 for a pair of queens by Wiszowaty, but Wu had that beat with AA for top set to take down the big pot.

The hijack opened to 80,000, Tsolmon Jargalsaikhan three-bet jammed for 570,000 from the cutoff and Juan Carlos Vecino moved all in himself from the big blind. The original raiser folded.

Tsolmon Jargalsaikhan: QJ All in
Juan Carlos Vecino: AQ

Jargalsaikhan was dominated and the 57QK2 flop couldn't save him, ending his deep tournament run in 26th place.

Koray Aldemir Eliminated in 27th Place ($12,240)

Nível 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Koray Aldemir

Short-stacked Koray Aldemir got it all in preflop against Jon Glendinning, who covered.

"My hand is too good to fold," Aldemir says as he tabled his hand.

Koray Aldemir: KQ
Jon Glendinning: AJ

Although king-queen is considered to be a very good hand, Glendinning still had him crushed with his dominating ace-jack of the same suit.

Aldemir did manage to spike a queen on the flop of 34Q, but an ace appeared right on the turn to swing favor back to Glendinning. The river was the brick 9 and the 2021 WSOP Main Event Champion was sent to the rail.

Al-Shanti Scoops Another One

Nível 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The pot had grown to approximately 500,000 with two players looking at a flop of 7K10.

Juan Carlos Vecino, in the cutoff, checked the action to Abdullah Al-Shanti, on the button. Al-Shanti bet out 80,000 and Vecino called.

The 9 turn checked through to the 2 on the river. Vecino proceeded to check-call a bet of 160,000 from Al-Shanti. Al-Shanti tabled KK for a flopped set of kings, winning him this pot.

Squeeze Play Gone Good

Nível 24 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Abdullah "Dooley" Al-Shanti raised from the hijack position to 80,000 and Yuliyan Kolev called in the cutoff. Tsolmon Jargalsaikhan saw his chance and squeezed all in for 195,000. Dooley made the call, and Kolev folded.

Tsolmon Jargalsaikhan: Q10 All in
Abdullah Al-Shanti: 88

The board ran out with Q2AK7, and Jargalsaikhan's pair of queens gave him a much-needed boost to his stack.
