Burlacu's situation went from bad to worse on the 5♦K♦4♦ flop as Kristoff improved to top set. It was running straight or flush cards that Burlacu needed but instead he got running nines as the 9♥ turn and 9♠ river improved him to trips, but gave Kristoff a full house.

On a flop of 4♠2♥7♣, the cutoff continued for 15,000 and Bigot called, then both players checked the 6♥ turn.

The K♠ river completed the board and after Bigot checked, the cutoff bet 139,000, almost all his stack. Bigot went deep into the tank but eventually said "passe", the French word for "fold".
