Jain Doubles Up

Action picked up when Chander Jain was all in from the button. Action folded back to the players in late position and the cutoff. The late position player folded and the cutoff tanked, stated aloud, "very borderline," before finally making the call.

The board ran out 8JQ for a bit of a sweat but the 4 turn and K river secured the double up for Jain.

Wang with Two pair

Three-way on a flop of 610Q, the player under the gun bet 2,400 and was called both by Guofeng Wang on the button and by Dinesh Alt in the big blind.

The under-the-gun player fired a second barrel of 4,400 on the 10 turn. Wang called again, but Alt folded after some time.

The 3 completed the board and the player under the gun bet 16,000. Wang quickly called with AQ and scooped the pot as his opponent only had J9. Alt said he had Jx9x as well.

Fan Left Short-Stacked

The board read J81032 and Chih Fan had fired 3,500 on the river. His opponent, who was seated in middle position, then raised to 20,000. Fan only had 5,500 chips remaining in his stack but opted to preserve them and folded his hand.

Diamond Flops a Straight

Action folded around to John Diamond in the cutoff who limped in, with the hijack limping behind and the small blind completing.

The player in the big blind raised to 3,600 and Diamond called, with the hijack and small blind getting out of the way.

The flop came JQ10 and the big blind led out with a bet of 1,600. Diamond moved all in for 13,300 and the big blind went into the tank before eventually arriving at a call.

The turn and river were dealt with the 4 and 4, respectively, and Diamond's flopped straight awarded him the pot and the double up.
