Maimone Hits the River to Double Up
Nível 25
: Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
On a flop of 2♥5♣8♣ with roughly 350,000 in the pot, Nick Maimone went deep into the tank after he raised to 210,000 from the cutoff and John Riordan in the big blind moved all-in for 850,000.
For almost five minutes, Maimone didn't know what to do. A player eventually called the clock and Maimone called, finding himself at risk.
Nick Maimone: A♠A♣
John Riordan: 8♦8♠
"Alright, show me your set," Maimone said when he flipped over his cards. Riordan had a set, so Maimone was on the edge of elimination. But after the K♦ turn, the A♦ river landed on the felt so Maimone doubled up.
