Getting to the table, the board was showing 9573 and Michael Berk had bet 8,000. Alex Foxen, after contemplating for a while put in a raise to 27,000. Berk didn't take long to let go of his holding as Foxen added to his already big stack.

Linde Doubles Through Weng

Dylan Linde raised to 6,000 in the hijack and Sean Winter called in the cutoff. In the big blind, Bin Weng three-bet to 26,000 which saw Linde move all in for 113,000, folding out Winter. Weng asked for a count and thought for a couple of seconds before calling.

The board ran out 1062JQ and the ace-king held up for Linde to double up at the expense of Weng.

Matikis Washes Shorr Away

Ian Matakis raised to 5,000 from the hijack and both Brek Schutten in the small blind and Shannon Shorr in the big blind called.

The flop came out 58K and action checked around to Matakis who bet 7,000 which only Shorr called.

The turn J saw Shorr check over to Matakis who bet 24,000. Shorr raised to 60,000 and Matakis called.

Shorr put in a bet of 102,000 on the Qx river, leaving himself 3,000 behind and Matakis moved all in which saw Shorr sigh as he put in the last 3,000.

Shorr turned jacks and eights which was good until the river gave Matakis kings up which was good for the pot and the WSOP player of the year raked in the pot.
