Hopkins Sends Thompson Home

Eddie Ochana opened to 65,000 from late position and action folded to Corey Thompson in the small blind. Thompson raised all in for 265,000, and Joshua Hopkins called from the big blind. Ochana eventually folded, flashing AxQx

"That's not good," Thompson repeated to himself as the cards were revealed.

Joshua Hopkins: 8♣8♦

The board ran out 8♥K♦K♣K♠7♦ giving Hopkins a full house to defeat Thompson's three of a kind and eliminate him from the event.

Black Pulls Away From the Field

Taylor Black opened the button and Corey Thompson called from the big blind.

On the 9♦2♠10♥ flop, Thompson check-called a bet of 65,000 from Black.

The K♥ turn was checked through to the J♠ river. Thompson led out for 100,000, and Black raised to 275,000. After some time thinking, Thompson elected to fold.

Tarich’s Four-Bet Takes It Down

Joshua Hopkins raised 60,000 at the hijack position, and then things quickly escalated.

Mitchell Halverson three-bet to 140,000 at the cutoff, but Mark Tarich had other ideas on the button.

Tarich responded with a healthy four-bet to 500,000, which drew immediate folds from the two players in the blinds.

Hopkins peeked down at his cards before folding, and Halverson soon followed.

Adam Saven opened to 60,000 from middle position and action folded to Andrew Ostapchenko in the small blind who called. The big blind folded.

The flop fell A♠6♦A♦ and Ostapchenko check-called a bet of 40,000 from Saven.

Both players checked the turn 6♠

The river Q♣ saw Ostapchenko lead for 200,000 which Saven called after some deliberation. Ostapchenko rolled over A♥4♥ for a full house and Saven mucked.

Saven Five-Bet Shoves

Adam Saven opened the cutoff to 65,000 and was three-bet by Jianfeng Sun on the button to 160,000. Robert Burlacu was in the big blind and he four-bet to 285,000, and Saven five-bet shoved for around 1,200,000. Sun and Burlacu quickly folded and Saven was pushed the pot uncontested.

Action was picked up preflop with Erik Seidel all in from the button for 335,000 versus Brent Hart in the big blind.

Ochana’s Aggression Wins Skirmish

After action folded to him, Yuya Kita raised 60,000 on the button.

Kita, though, was immediately met by resistance when Edward Ochana three-bet to 255,000 out of the small blind. Kita briefly pondered the aggressive play before making the call.

The dealer fanned 2♣3♠10♠ on the flop. With barely any hesitation, Ochana fired 180,000 into the pot.

Kita peeked at his cards and then folded.

Bechahed Jams on Perrone

The board read 10♦3♦6♠3♣ on the turn. From the big blind, Michael Perrone bet 175,000 and was called by Sami Bechahed who was in early position.

The river came the 8♦. Perrone bet again, this time for 350,000. Bechahed quickly moved all in which got a pretty fast fold from Perrone.

Raghavan Sent Home on the River

Kartik Ved opened to 70,000 from the hijack and Ravi Raghavan committed his stack of a few big blinds into the pot from the cutoff. Martin Carnero also called from the big blind.

Both active players checked all the way to showdown on the 4♦8♥7♦5♥3♦ board.

Carnero flipped A♦9♣ for ace-high, Ved tabled A♠3♠ for a rivered pair, and Raghavan showed A♣K♥ also for ace-high which meant he was rivered and eliminated.
