The World Series of Poker (WSOP) is making a move that will change the online poker game in the US with the launch of WSOP Online, a new platform that will bring players from three states together.
Poker players in Nevada and New Jersey are already competing against each other on WSOP.com, while those in Michigan have a separate single-state site. But that is changing with the trio of states being merged together on one online poker site ahead of the 2024 WSOP. Pennsylvania's WSOP site will not be part of the shared liquidity deal.
On top of the merger news, the WSOP has announced 30 online bracelet events this summer on the new WSOP Online.

Chris Moneymaker is giving it another try, opening a poker room in Kentucky, this time in Louisville.
Moneymaker Social Louisville opened Saturday, becoming the second operating brick-and-mortar card room in the state. The other one, a slightly bigger room, is located just down the street, about 15-20 minutes from the University of Louisville campus.
Opening night "went well," poker room manager Christine Russell told PokerNews. As with any new business, there "were some kinks to work out." But as Russell said, players were impressed with the initial experience.

Both players checked the K♣K♦6♦ flop leading to the A♣ turn. The big blind check-called a 5,000 bet from Vitch.
The big blind check-called another bet from Vitch on the Q♠ river, this time for 8,000.
Vitch showed down A♦K♥8♥2♠ for kings full of aces to take the pot.

Ren Lin opened to 3,200 from middle position and was only called by the big blind.
The big blind check-called bets of 3,000 and 4,500 on the flop and turn for the final board to read A♦K♣10♣J♥9♣.
The big blind checked for a third time, and Lin sized up to 14,800. The big blind tanked for some time before flicking in a calling chip.
With no low possible, the duo were duking it out for the high hand.
Lin tabled A♣7♠6♣3♦ for an ace-high flush, which was good for all of the pot.

Bob Mather limped in from under the gun and Bradley Gordon did the same from two seats over. Connor Drinan was in the cutoff and made it 3,500, which both of his opponents called.
The spicy 4♦3♣2♣ flop hit the felt, and action checked through to the J♥ turn. Mather checked once more, prompting Gordon to fire out 4,000. Drinan snap-folded and Mather followed suit after a little thinking time.
The table laughed as Gordon showed his A♠4♣3♥2♥ ahead of the next hand.
