Turner Plays It Safe

Nível 4

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

Leonard August raised to 1,500 as first to act and Jon Turner defended his big blind. Turner then drew three while August exchanged two cards. Both players checked after the draw, leading Turner to draw one and August to draw two.

Turner made a bet of 2,700 chips and was called by August. Turner stood pat on the final draw, after which August drew one more card. Turner slowed down and checked to August, who put forth 3,000 chips.

"Just in case you're inducing," stated Turner before sliding in a call. August tabled 8x7x5x3x2x, but his eight-low was no good as Turner turned over 7x6x5x3x2x for a seven-low.

Scott Lake
Scott Lake

No-Limit Hold'em

Just before the break started, Bin Weng and Scott Lake were in a blind-on-blind battle on a board that read 8J78. With 33,000 chips in the middle, both players checked to see the J river.

Weng then shoved all in, causing Lake to mull things over. Eventually, he got stuck on calling chips, after which Weng stated, "You win, ace-high."

Lake turned over QQ for an overpair, and Weng's A10 was tabled by the dealer as well. Weng paid the 29,300 that remained in Lake's stack, leaving himself with only 3,000 of them.

Siegel Dents August's Stack

Nível 3

Badeucey

Leonard August raised from the button, after which Jordan Siegel three-bet in the big blind. August made the call and Siegel drew one card while August drew two.

A bet and a call followed and the same sequence of exchanges happened. Siegel bet again and August followed with a call. On the final draw, Siegel stood pat while August still requested two fresh cards.

Siegel flicked in another bet and sent August into the tank. After mulling it over for a bit, August decided he could not fold and tossed in a call.

Siegel turned over 76532 for a seven-low and a three-card five, which awarded him the full pot as August tossed his cards to the dealer.
