Charles Phillips Eliminated in 30th Place ($3,642)
Blinds: 17,000/34,000/3,400
Charles Phillips put in a 2x raise from late position and Chris Battenfield called from the big blind. The flop rolled off 2♥4♥5♠. Battenfield checked and Phillips continued for 55,600.
The turn brought another two into play, the 2♣. Battenfield checked again, and Phillips fired another barrel. But there was a ricochet, as Battenfield check-raised for $332,900. Phillips called, and they took in a river of J♣.
Battenfield open-shoved and Phillips called for his last $720,978. Phillips turned over K♠4♠, only to see Battenfield's K♣2♦. The hero call died on the battlefield, and Phillips was out in 30th place.
