Chang Continues to Ascend

Allen Chang and Joshua Payne were heads-up in a pot with already well over 2,000,000 chips in the middle. The completed board of A♣9♥3♣2♥9♦ was spread across the felt and Joshua Payne had shoved all in from the small blind.

Allen Chang didn't hesitate to call off his stack of 1,305,000 and he turned over 3♠3♥ for a full house. Payne was forced to show his A♦J♣ before they went in the muck and he passed over the double for Chang who came into the day with around 800,000 chips.

Livshitz Keeps Firing at Hulme

Heads-up on a flop of 7♦6♦10♠, Gabi Livshitz bet 175,000 from early position with Q♣8♣ and Andrew Hulme called from the small blind holding J♦9♦.

The Q♠ turn gave Livshitz a pair and he fired out another 635,000. Hulme called with his flush and straight draws as the 9♣ fell on the river.

Hulme checked his pair and Livshitz, who had made a straight, pondered the decision for a moment before putting in 1,375,000. Hulme tanked for several minutes before releasing his hand.

Laborda On Crumbs

Hilton Laborda opened to 175,000 from under the gun and was called by Jonathan Therme from middle position. Timothy Faro and Alec Torelli also called from the button and big blind.

Laborda led out for 375,000 on the K♦8♠3♣ flop and only Therme called.

Laborda continued for 525,000 out of his short stack on the 3♥ turn and Therme called for a third time.

The K♠ river double-paired the board and Laborda checked. Therme put Laborda all in for his last 575,000 and he quickly released his hand.

Dyachenko's Check-Raise Overpowers Barnett

Hunter Barnett raised to 160,000 on the button and Pavel Dyachenko called from the small blind. The flop fell A♦Q♥5♦ and Dyachenko check-called a bet of 130,000 from Barnett.

The turn was the 6♥ and Dyachenko checked again. Barnett made another small bet of 180,000 and Dyachenko seized the opportunity with a check-raise to 750,000. Barnett mulled it over but decided to dump his cards in the muck.

Paytas Doubles; Kanakopoulos Doubles Back

The action was caught when all the chips hit the middle preflop between Orestis Kanakopoulos and Nathan Paytas, who was the player at risk for his last 2,600,000.

Paytas was in great shape preflop, but when the flop fanned out A♠J♥4♠, it looked close to over for Paytas. The turn, however, had other plans when the Q♠ rolled off to flip the tables and lock up the double for Paytas. The inconsequential 3♥ completed the board and Paytas collected the pot, leaving Kanakopoulos short.

On the very next hand, Raj Vohra opened to 175,000 from under the gun and Kanakopoulos moved all in for 460,000. The rest of the table got out of the way and Vohra called.

Rigby Falls to a Brutal River

Nicholas Rigby has been an unmissable presence at this Main Event, but his run just came to a sudden hand on a brutal river suckout by Diego Daquilio.

Rigby shoved all in for 1,540,000 from early position and Daquilio reshoved in middle position to force the rest of the table out of the pot.

Rigby was racing for his tournament life and took a big lead on the 10♥J♣2♠ flop with top set. The 6♠ turn was safe for Rigby, but Daquilio spiked the Q♠ on the river to make a Broadway straight.

Rigby sat stunned in his seat for a few moments before getting up to shake Daquilio's hand on his way to the payout desk.

Harder Correctly Heros To Double Through Kothari

Christian Harder was put to the test for his tournament life in a heads-up pot against Harsheel Kothari.

With the board reading 8♣8♠K♦10♥6♣, Harder bet 580,000 before Kothari raised all in to send Harder into the tank as he considered calling off for his remaining stack of around 800,000.

"I should believe you, but I don't," Harder said as Kothari stared him down with his hand covering his mouth.

Harder eventually called and Kothari tapped the table in defeat as he showed 9♥9♠ for just a pair of nines before Harder tabled A♦K♥ to win the pot with a pair of kings.

"Nice hand, bro," Kothari told him.

Tosoc Busts Westmorland in Big Pot

The action started with a raise to 175,000 by Ryan Tosoc and Viliyan Petleshkov made it 525,000 to go from two seats over. Jordan Westmorland then four-bet to 1,150,000 with around twice as much behind.

Tosoc pushed all-in to force out Petleshkov while Westmorland reluctantly called.
