Ward now bet 55,000 and Richez tanked before paying it off, taking yet another hit.

Gwinner Risks his Main Event with Massive Call

With almost 600,000 in the middle, the board read A♥8♦5♥10♠7♠. Herik Gwinner had already checked and was faced with a bet of 335,000 from Kyriakos Papadopoulos.

Gwinner went in the tank for about four minutes before the floor was called for a clock. About 10 seconds of his allotted 30 seconds went by before he flicked in one chip to call off his stack of 332,000.

Papadopoulos tabled K♥9♥ and Gwinner jumped with joy as he showed Q♠Q♦ to drag the pot and remain in the 2023 World Series of Poker Main Event.

Clement Richez with the 4♠4♦ bet 200,000 out of the big blind. Felipe Ketzer then raised to 512,000 with the K♥Q♠ for a superior full house, leaving himself 129,000 behind.

That sent Richez deep into the tank and he got away from it for Ketzer to jump above a million in chips.

Foxen Fails to Get It Through

Alex Foxen was in the small blind and had gotten involved in a battle against big blind James Kizer. The board read 8♠4♥9♣7♠ and both players checked.

The 2♥ river then fell and Foxen bet 90,000 into a pot of around 150,000. Kizer quickly made the call and Foxen could only show ace-high with A♣10♣. Kizer, on the other hand, had a pair with K♠7♥ and took down the pot.

The big blind opted to check on the 8♣ turn. Chau moved all in for his last 102,000 and Alcorn raised all in with a covering stack. The big blind got out of the way leaving Alcorn and Chau heads up going into the river.

Chau was drawing thin on the turn with only a four, nine or king as possible outs against Alcorn's top pair and straight draw. He got exactly what he needed on the 4♥ river, giving him an eight-high straight to secure a full double up, leaving Alcorn with just under 30 big blinds.

Rigby instantly bet 100,000 on the 8♠ turn when the card had barely appeared, as Dickerson stuck around. The 7♦ river saw Rigby grab into his stack of T-25,000 chips and bet a random 350,000.

Dickerson got away from his top pair while Rigby leaped to nearly two million in chips.
