'Rampage' Yau Eliminated from the Main Event

Ethan 'Rampage' Yau's seat was seen empty and the table was happy to relay the hand:

Salah Nimer raised in early position and Yau defended the big blind.

When the flop came 7x3x2x, Yau check-called a bet from Nimer.

The 4x hit the turn and Yau put in a check-raise after Nimer bet, and Nimer called.

The 2x completed the board on the river and Yau led out for 45,000. Nimer moved all-in for the rest of Yau's stack and Yau sigh called it off. Nimer tabled 4x4x for a full house and Yau flashed 2x before mucking his other card.

Colson Cracks Aces to Send One Out

Rodney Colson and an opponent in the big blind built a pot of around 60,000 on a board of 8♦9♠10♠6♣ when Colson, in the cutoff, tossed out 75,000.

"Oh man, oh man," the big blind said as he leaned back in his chair to consider the decision for the rest of his chips. He eventually called and flipped over A♥A♠, but Colson had 10♣9♣ for two pair.

The river came the Q♥ and Colson dragged in the massive pot and sent his opponent to the rail.

Full House For Okamoto

Shiina Okamoto was heads-up from the big blind against the player in the small blind on a 2♦K♠10♥ flop.

The small blind check-called a 2,500 bet from Okamoto and then both players checked on the K♥ turn.

The 2♥ river double paired the board and Okamoto bet 12,000 after being checked to a third time. Her opponent thought for a while before deciding to call and Okamoto tabled K♣5♣ for kings-full of deuces. Her opponent couldn't beat it and muck — conceding the pot to Okamoto.

Vedral Doubles his Stack

As told by the players on the table: a player in late position raised to 2,000 and the hijack player and the cutoff player both called. David Vedral was on the button and three-bet to 12,500 and received a call from the late position player.

The flop came down AxAx3x and the late position player bet 16,000 and Vedral shoved the remainder of his chips in for about 37,000 and received a call.

The turn and river sealed the deal with the 7x and the Ax which gave Vedral the quads.

Greenstein Wins a Small One

Moorman Flops The Nuts

A player in middle position opened to 2,100 and Minh Nguyen called next to act. The cutoff called as well and Chris Moorman put in a three-bet to 8,700 on the button. All three players came along and the dealer fanned out a flop of 7♥5♣4♦.

The initial raiser checked to Nguyen who tossed out a small bet of 3,500 and only the cutoff and Moorman called. On the 5♥ turn the action checked through to the 4♠ river.

Nguyen and the cutoff checked to Moorman who took some time before betting 40,000, leaving only 500 behind. Nguyen quickly folded and the cutoff snap-called for their last 35,000.

Moorman rolled over 8♥6♥ for the flopped nut-straight and his opponent tabled 8♣8♦ for the over pair as they made their way to the exit.

Holz Lets It Go

Fedor Holz and Xixiang Luo had created a pot of 5,500 chips and arrived on the turn on A♦K♣9♥Q♣. Holz led out for 5,000 from the small blind before facing a raise to 15,500 from Luo.

Holz spend a few minutes thinking it over and looking at his opponent before taking one final peek at his cards and tossing them to the dealer.

Holz descended back to under starting stack while Luo plays a nice stack of almost 170 big blinds.

Emerson Flops the Nuts

Picking up the action on the turn, Eric Emerson in middle position was involved in a hand with Brook Lyter on the button. With the board reading 9♦A♦K♦10♥, Emerson bet out 7,000 and received a call.

Once the 6♥ river completed the board, Emerson thought for a moment before announcing all in. Lyter had the effective stack and went deep into the tank as he mulled over a decision for his tournament life. After a few minutes, a player not involved in the hand called for the clock but as soon as he did so Lyter made the call, turning over A♥K♥ for top two. It was no good, however, as Emerson held Q♦J♦ for the flopped nut flush with the royal redraw to deal a fatal blow to Lyter.
