Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Demosthenes Kiriopoulos and Bohdan Slyvinskyi had gone to war preflop and amassed a huge pot of 46,000 chips before a card was even dealt.

Once that did happen, Kiriopoulos was the one to make a bet of 28,200 on J410. Slyvinskyi thought about it for a while but ended up forfeiting the big pile of chips to his opponent.

Garcia Forces a Fold

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The pot stood at approximately 85,000 with two players looking at a board that read 96107.

The player in the big blind checked the action over to Daniel Garcia in the hijack who bet out for 26,000. The big blind made the call.

The river came the 6 and Garcia's opponent checked again. This time Garcia moved all in, putting the big blind at risk for their remaining 30,000 chips and their tournament life. The player folded and Garcia raked in this big pot.

Rigby Strikes Again and Knocks Out Hellmuth

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Feature Table Horseshoe Main Room, Phil Hellmuth
Feature Table Horseshoe Main Room, Phil Hellmuth

Over on the main feature table, Robert Jones raised to 2,500 with the KK and earned two calls as three players headed to the A109 flop. It checked to the initial raiser and Jones bet-folded for 2,500 when Nicholas Rigby raised to 8,000 while Phil Hellmuth check-called out of the big blind.

That brought Rigby and Hellmuth to the 2 turn on which the latter checked. Rigby overbet 36,000 to create a pot of 64,400 and Hellmuth check-jammed for 94,500 to get called by Rigby.

Phil Hellmuth: 109
Nicholas Rigby: A10

Hellmuth was in dire shape and the miracle escape never happened with the 5 river, sending Hellmuth to the rail in anti-climatic fashion. "Good game ... nice hand," Hellmuth said in the table chat and shook hands with Rigby before leaving the mothership.

Skulason Makes The Right Call

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Snorri Skulason was heads-up from the cutoff against Michael Mizrachi, who was under the gun, on a completed board of K72Q8.

Mizrachi had bet enough to put Skulason all in for his last 36,200 and Skulason went deep into the tank. After a few minutes of consideration, Skulason flicked in a single chip to indicate a call and Mizrachi turned over 55. Skulason held the KJ for top pair and breathed a sigh of relief as he collected the pot.

Ormson Gets There on the River

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

In a blind versus blind confrontation, Krisha Augerot and Larry Ormson built a pot of around 20,000 heading to the turn on a board of 10K37.

Both players checked and the A fell on the river. Augerot again checked before Ormson then fired out 11,000. Augerot paused for a moment before calling as Ormson turned over QJ for the rivered straight.

"Nice catch," Augerot said.

"I wasn't greedy," Ormson replied.

Tsang Scores Brutal Knockout

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A player in the cutoff opened to 2,600 and Anson Tsang three-bet to 10,000 from the small blind. The big blind player moved all in for 45,000 and after the initial opener folded, Tsang made the call to put the big blind at risk.

Big Blind: QQ
Anson Tsang: JJ

The big blind was well out front, and when the flop came KQ7, looked even more solid to score a double up. The turn and river, however, had other plans when it ran out 910 and the jacks for Tsang made a straight to send his opponent to the exit in disbelief.

Madan Coolers Two Players

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

The flop read 543 and Robert Lee led out for 6,000. Both the player on his left and Mayank Madan made the call.

When the 3 hit the turn, Lee fired a bet of 15,000, and once again he received two calls.

When the 9 completed the board, Lee bet 15,000. The player on his left went all-in for 15,100 before Madan shoved for 16,900. Lee called the rest and all three hands were on their backs.

Lee tabled 76 for the nut straight that rivered a flush, the player on his left showed 53 for a full house, threes full of fives, but neither hand was good as Madan showed 44 for fours full.

Peery Makes a Hero Fold

Nível 8 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Bruce Peery
Bruce Peery

Action was picked up midway through the betting preflop. A player in middle position had three-bet all in for 27,000 and Bruce Peery had called from the hijack. Narayan Patel in the big blind then four-bet to 75,000, putting Peery in the tank.

After about 90 seconds Perry folded QQ face up leaving the middle position player all in and at risk against Patel.

Middle Position: AK
Narayan Patel: AA

Peery had made a great fold as Patel had woken up with the best possible starting hand. The board ran out 5105710, awarding Patel with a sizable pot. The player in middle position was sent to the rail while Peery lived to fight another day.
